A woman who helps maids in India:
"Housemaids are from poor tribal areas. Some employers say, 'We'll eat, and if there are leftovers, you can eat them.
"Some families say, 'Don’t even touch the fridge.' The maid isn’t allowed to get water unless the employer gives it.
"I found one girl who as given food with the dogs—the same bowl the dog ate from, without washing it.
"One time they locked a girl in the house and went abroad for two weeks. They left no food. It was in the news..."
